Have they said anything about putting a cap on the server(s) this time around? Just curious. I'd hate for them to do like kronos and cap the servers at 5k and have a 4k queue (k2 launch). I remember the kronos devs said they could put that cap at 10k but refused to because their prenost players didnt want it. obviously the nost players did.
If they decide to put a cap, cap it at 12k like warmane. Dont do some 5k cap bs while having a 2nd pvp server on top of it, that would indeed split it up. Thats a fatal thing kronos did, split the pop, put a 5k queue on each. And slowly but surely they are bleeding dry (and this was happening well before a nost return was even a thing). K2 is barely peaking at 2k on a sunday. And K1 peaks at like 1200. People are crying to merge the servers, and have been for some time.
I remember there was a major uproar back when nost wanted to open a 2nd server last august/september. Nost did the smart thing and made it a pve server, and ironically not only did it NOT kill the pvp server, it actually gained players while the pve server had 2k. I honestly think there will be more players than we had before because of the hype nost got from the shutdown. You gotta remember, nost was gaining like 500 new players every month. And thats the pre shutdown hype it had. I cant imagine what it will be like now. I miss seeing 8000 on right in the middle of off peak hours. Then watching it peak at 15k. Crazy seeing those numbers. Miss it!
