I wish they didn't roll it back. When my account got robbed, Nost didn't give any of that back, even though I never wanted to give the shit away. They ran a "no restore, fuck you, have a nice day" policy. But now people who willingly gave their shit away, they get theirs back??? Now suddenly the server does restores??? For people who did the shit themselves??? Not the rest of us who got fucked in the past??? Where is the logic here???

How does this not make sense to you? The server shutdown was an action of Nostalrius and the way players responded were a consequence of it. Therefore they felt responsible to save character data before the announcement because if the server would one day return nobody would really come back because they did stupid things. Your account, though I don't know your story, being taken over is a consequence of your actions and is not the responsibility of Nostalrius. Though if they want to maintain a good reputation they should have helped you and others who were screwed over by some outside force.

He's posted this story probably 10 times even on the Crestfall forums lol. He uses the same username and password for his logins to servers as well as for guild websites. Quite baffling honestly.

Drain, as Lifealert pointed out there's an obvious difference in these cases. It's honestly really ill willed and petty of you to even suggest that everybody lost their toons shouldn't get their stuff back just because you didn't when you got hacked as a consequence of terrible internet smarts.
