Time management inside and outside of the game.
When you login, have a purpose. If you are sitting in a city doing nothing, log off. You need to farm something, camp at that point, login and out at that location.
If you want to raid get things like buffs/consumables way before and logout outside of the instance. Login, get invited to raid, logout until pull time.
Pickup a profession that makes money off the crafting cooldowns, this allows you to not have to farm as much as you earn gold by simply logging in for 30 seconds for a day and logging off. Do this with a lvl 35+ your main, get 2x the amount of constant gold and should cover basic raid consumables for each week as long as it isn't a wipe fest.
Leveling to 60 takes more time hour of a week than raiding. By a lot.
