Finns are not Vikings. Vikings come from Scandinavia and speak North-Germanic languages. Finland is not in Scandinavia and its inhabitants speak Finnish which is an Uralic non-IE language.

Finns have got their own epics (notably Kalevalla) which are as much epic as the Sagas and are not connected to Old Norse mythology.

Vikings were from present day Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Finland being part of Scandinavia is a half-truth as well. Some include Iceland and Finland as part of Scandinavia, some don't.

"Viking" comes from the word "Vikinger" which means "Fjorman" fron "Vik" -fjord. The Fjords are in Norway, not Denmark. The language of the vikings is called "Old Norse" not "Gamle Dansk".

Finland is not a part of Scandinavia. The word they use is "Fenno-Scandia". Finland and Scandinavia are separate.
