What else could you expect when the people who created the Diablo franchise weren't let to work on DIII.
As for SC2, it seemed like they focused on multiplayer anyway, with the story being dumb and blockbustery.
WoL was probably the best of it.

Most players that like vanilla wow are not interested in the new expansions anyways. So they would not lose money, but gain LOST players back with legacy servers.

you guys need to get over it. this is the private server life. when you chose to play on this server you accepted risk of all your shit just being gone. refunding and protesting blizzard products is petty as fuck you obviously purchased it because you had interest in it.

As consumers we have the right to boycott any company we want. If you think our rage is unjustified that just makes you ignorant. Blizzard chose to come after a non profit server with a great community. In contrast there are dozens of servers out there with pay to win features that make a profit from this and slander the spirit of the game completely.

Additionally, by choosing to assault such a community Blizzard has basicaly spat on the very group that not only supported them from the start, but are responsible for helping them becoming the giant corporation they are today. So yes, we will boycott and protest all we want. They have the right to do what they did, but the manner they did so and the initial target have no justification at all. Blizzard was simply embarrassed that such a community was so strong and booming compared to theirs.

Take this thing to the next step!

Delete the battle.net account. I know this is harsh, cause it means to lose your game key, but i think is far more visible than just deleting subs.

you guys put the blame on streamers for the downfall for this server which isnt really the case. you mentioned this server is non-profit but dont you find it a bit odd that not even 2 weeks after they posted the change to their financial situations that they get the letter from blizz. for you to believe that all the money donated went into the server funds you must also be ignorant unless of course nost posts public records of all the donations and what their budget was for it. you also take in to account the gold sellers making a ton of money off this server.

it just comes down to everyone making money on world of warcraft except blizzard which is fucked up because its their game. you can't say its not the same game to avoid copyright just because its a different version. thats like saying the version of minesweeper that came with windows 95 is a different game from that released with windows 10. i'm not saying you dont have a right to be butthurt that your 60 is gone, but as they say thats the way she goes. move on to the next private server and start again. you want to play private this is what you deal with. consider it like a ladder that resets when it get too big LOL
