I don't know. I know I contribute to an open source emulation project because I don't feel the need to massage my own ego. So, I don't care who Blizzard go to. So long as the result is that they do the right thing.
If they don't then I'll just keep chipping on at trying to improve the open source project in my spare time, as I did before.
Why would they come to you?
What about other private servers with large populations (I don't need to name them).
What about the other p-server off-shoots? Yes they were all branched from Mangos. But, they've also built shedloads more on top of that base.
There's no point getting upset because they didn't come to you. Best just to watch and see what this turns into. Something rubbish like "Pristine servers" or, one of the better options that are out there. In the meantime, get on with what you're doing.
