AH prices are not reflecting a shortage. AH prices are reflecting hoarding. If people choose to keep something instead of selling it, it will go up in price. The Black Lotus is not supposed to grow like apple on trees, you know that right? It's a game design choice. It's an item that is currently being hoarded - not sold. Yet still, you can buy it on the AH if your guild is bad. Because there will always be someone that is forced to fire sale something.

If you didn't plan ahead, then wait until the AQ hype is over and for the prices to fall when people realise they have hoarded too much and people stop hoarding and start selling them again.

Even if there would be more Black Lotus spawns, the price would be the same on the AH, because people simply aren't selling them to the public. Guilds are hoarding.

I can't argue with someone that finds no issue with the fact that black lotus prices are approaching 100g each with no end in sight. No problem, hoard away, sure. There'll come a time where everyone is going to need to pick up herbalism to even be competitive. How stupid is that.

Black lotuses in DM E would allow for independent non hoarding people to farm for these rare commodities in a way that would bring the prices back to far more manageable levels.

Retail wow is that way --->

You'll fit right in. You'll never have to prepare for anything ever again or do any sort of guild effort.

There is no issue. There are only people who want everything for free in a hard core game's preperation phase for progression content. You're it.

Is it really that hard to understand that the game is currently in a preperation phase for progression content? People are hoarding to prepare for progression.

No shit flasks aren't cheap right now.

Here is the thing, we had 3 months with Black Lotus steady between 35-60g each. So many people stocked up here.

Now everyone realize AQ40 are getting released in time, guilds are buying lotus, and sellers are keeping them for raiding.

Guess what, naturally price will rise.

I bet people whining in this thread have 0 black lotus, but have been raiding for 6 months.

GM's confirmed 300% increased looting of Lotus, so it is simply the mentality of players. Why would they sell lotus now, they need them. Price will drop after AQ40 again.
