As consumers we have the right to boycott any company we want. If you think our rage is unjustified that just makes you ignorant. Blizzard chose to come after a non profit server with a great community. In contrast there are dozens of servers out there with pay to win features that make a profit from this and slander the spirit of the game completely.

Additionally, by choosing to assault such a community Blizzard has basicaly spat on the very group that not only supported them from the start, but are responsible for helping them becoming the giant corporation they are today. So yes, we will boycott and protest all we want. They have the right to do what they did, but the manner they did so and the initial target have no justification at all. Blizzard was simply embarrassed that such a community was so strong and booming compared to theirs.

you guys put the blame on streamers for the downfall for this server which isnt really the case. you mentioned this server is non-profit but dont you find it a bit odd that not even 2 weeks after they posted the change to their financial situations that they get the letter from blizz. for you to believe that all the money donated went into the server funds you must also be ignorant unless of course nost posts public records of all the donations and what their budget was for it. you also take in to account the gold sellers making a ton of money off this server.

it just comes down to everyone making money on world of warcraft except blizzard which is fucked up because its their game. you can't say its not the same game to avoid copyright just because its a different version. thats like saying the version of minesweeper that came with windows 95 is a different game from that released with windows 10. i'm not saying you dont have a right to be butthurt that your 60 is gone, but as they say thats the way she goes. move on to the next private server and start again. you want to play private this is what you deal with. consider it like a ladder that resets when it get too big LOL

You are the paranoid type that never has faith in anything huh? Sad to see. However when a community like this is created by a group of 30 people and supported by donations first then a system where you pay the bills directly, well I will believe them over a corporation that has placed micro transactions, instant levels, and the others methods to squeeze every penny out. You seem to have lost faith in others long ago. I read the AMA, and the fact they are willing to release their code for free, which is worth a lot of cash, only strengthens my belief. Sad to see someone like you was part of the community as you don't even support it now.

If you are going to argue about money, bring proof not speculation. The only ones who can show your proof is Blizzard and Nostalrius. Blizzard, the one responsible for this situation and who is getting bad press, could quell all of this if they showed Nost made money. They have not. Nost has denied this claim on the AMA for their part. As for gold sellers, that is any mmo in the world, active or private. Invalid argument all together. If you want to argue use not only opinion but facts to back you up, or your argument has no validation and cannot be take more than speculation.

You also missed the main point entirely. We are not boycotting to bring Nost back. We are boycotting for change, to allow legacy servers on wow or private. .

It also shows that people do sub to retail and play while also playing vanilla. You showed they screwed over people giving Blizz money.

I'm not paranoid just a realist. You just said it yourself that this was ran off of donations until last month. That's an entire year. Those micro transactions are cosmetic and not pay 2 win though. Have you ever bought a skin on league of legends its the same shit. You think this community is high and mighty but its not man, i just don't understand how you feel above the law just because it was a good server with a good community. Just because 150k people rob a bank doesn't make it not illegal you still going to jail. You may think im cold hearted, but i have lost ALOT of characters in private servers because of shutdowns and i have grown to just accept it and move the fuck on.

Honestly if you did not even read the donation amount and still argue it is not worth talking to you. The donations did not even cover server cost most months. The words non-profit have no meaning to you either. Again you missed the point of this and the boycott. So I am going to argue like you now, a ill-informed idiot.

You sir are a poop dick and everything you say is wrong. I like crayons.

Blizzard logic is that if they shut down Nostalrius, people from Nostalrius will go play retail WoW. But no. It's not the same game, you cannot substitute retail WoW instead of vanilla WoW. I think and certainly hope that enough people will get properly pissed off and in turn boycott Blizzard or something that shutting down Nostalrius will hurt Blizzard, instead of reward them like they think. Because Vanilla =/= retail anymore, and Blizzard refuses to offer this service that is still highly demanded. Taking it away from people who worked hard to get it themselves is just being a grinch, that's what Blizzard is now.. the grinch.

i'm just going to assume none of you people have done serious mythic raid progression. mythic raids are more difficult and complex than any other raid in all the expansions.

Did mythic, it is easy. People got dumbed down from content scaling over the years. It's not hard but sadly most people are dumb, especially if guilds can clear it in a week where old content took MONTHS to clear.

O wait. Silly poop dick made a post. How silly of him. Penguins are cute.

I honestly wonder what you're even hoping to achieve here. You're NOT changing anyone's mind. Blizzard can't, what makes you think you have that power? The whole "edgelord with realistic views on life" act has been done by every single teenager that wants to look cool. Go play retail if you love it so much and leave us to our battle. If you're used to walking arround with a dick in your mouth so that you can't speak for yourself and only follow herd-mentality that's YOUR problem.
'tis but a jest, brother!
