What really hurts Legacy is the lack of Legacy. What I mean is, that without it being allowed in the first place, no channels can thrive from running it, nor a proper fanbase built for it. This denial is then being used as evidence as to why one shouldn't be allowed to exist in the first place. In other words, it's similar to a publisher telling you that you don't want something, when they refuse to make it in the first place, meaning there's no chance for them to be proven wrong, it's a self contained paradox.

I'm quite late but I feel I have to reply... but as a Legion player and a WoW player since 1.8... NO. No chance !

First of all, Legion is for casuals. The amount of raids 7/7 Myth right now is ASTOUNDING. If you see more people in cap lvl and raiding in Legion and they were leveling up in nost is because it takes 8 !! 8 /played !!! Hours to go up 10 lvls in Legion. How many do you need in Vanilla? Well, probably good 15-20 days in /played or even more. And Vanilla is enjoyable while you lvl up. In legion you unlock every interesting possible thing in cap lvl and the only progression of your character is based in a set of passive bonuses in you Artifact weapon (and the amount of XP required after 15 points in ridiculous (6K and the goes up more and more) if you have 0 artifact knowledge and you need to reach 110). Dailies, last relic, mythic quests... all unlocks in 110 and there is no progression at all. In Vanilla/BC I was eager to go up 1 lvl to get that new talent and learn/upgrade those 2-4 new skills (if I was not broke).

I admit one thing, dungeons have improved in a way. There is less trash and usually more enjoyable. But they are EASY. I'm doing Mythic 6, without playing more than 40 hours in legion and I have no problem with pick ups. Playing a tank druid and what you have to do is "push all the buttons and procs, you only have 5 and then iron fur or the magic one if the boss throws you a spell". Wow... amazing... boring as fuck. Almost as boring as tanking in Vanilla. The amount of people with Gear 860+ right now is incredible. And is not because is better or they are more hardcore. Is because is easy, incredibly easy, to gear up. And I don't want to mention how they artificially extended the game with the order researches and the artifact papers that take 5 - 12 days to be completed. Is just a way of taking more time to unlock every perk in your weapon (and you'll end up doing it in 120 days... meanwhile... do some mythic).

I cannot talk about raids, but a friend who is in an extremely casual guild has cleared EM Heroic in 3 weeks. Raiding two hours per day Sun-Thurs and they are thinking now about going to Mythic. I'm talking about people who in BC couldn't even finish Karazhan or Gruul.

PVP is absolute crap and they throw even more shit as these "Battlegrounds". I wouldn't complain, they seem fun, but PVP was better in WoD and these "auto stats" are crap. I want to cap versatility by losing set bonuses and you don't let me. I cannot adapt my stats to the way I want to play, I have to adapt to the way YOU want me to play. They have destroyed almost every class in PVP in order to make them easier in PVE. They are changing hunter in 7.2 with the traps because they know they screwed up. But nothing can save the PVP. It was better in Vanilla with all the equipment flaws ant the one shots and all the shit. Obviously, BC PVP (and WoTLK, even WoD !) is AGES away from this piece of crap.

No, Legion is no good compared to almost every expansion. I agree is better in PVE than WoD. But is very far away even from Cataclysm (before the nerf). I don't speak about Pandaria as I just lvl'd up a hunter from 0 and stopped playing it.
