You can't steal skins? Well that's not very blizzlike :^)

players cried and cried on the forums so they changed it now look what we have a complete monopoly because lowest ping = fastest tag

confirmed GM favoritism

As an example, we had the monopoly for 8 months straight and now the horde grew some balls and took a big share of it by doing our same tactics. so you re wrong.

ps. they re about 5 months late for us to care but still u get my point.

there is no tactic all there is, is low ping but keep believing what you want

account sharing and dual boxing comes into play i mean when youre all sub 2k rated players using potions and every engineering gadget under the sun while being over 200 ping lower it's quite the achievement

then when you run out of cool downs you bring undergeared alliance hunter alts who once again take every tag from the faction because of the 200 ping advantage on tags

logging in every day of the week for hours on end isn't a tactic it's just hilarious european autism
edit: every day of the year not week sorry :s

If people wanted a quick solution to mafia problems, either here or in real life, they'd just not buy their products. In practical terms, everyone linked to this shitty affair would simply not get any bids.

However, just like it happens in real life, people will continue to give their money, even if it entails legal liabilities to said groups because they can't wait/don't care about it, and would rather pay the price being demanded.

Mafias are simply parasitical entities. Whether drug-related, weapon-related, prostitution-related or even the funny devilsaur leather thing. They only exist so much as others are willing to feed them and give them a reason to continue doing what they do. The general trend is for collectives to continue feeding them even if they're aware of the social leeching being done.

I guess what the problem here is, is that there are two guilds, that have the same agenda for both the Alliance and Horde and monopolize the devilsaur spawns in Un'goro Crater.

The problem is that other players aren't able to get any devilsaur leather through skinning.

There is nothing wrong with this method. Granted it could just be one big huge guild of Horde and Alliance players working together to control a certain resource. I don't like to think they are multiboxing. Seems unlikely given the case. But stuff like this should be encouraged imo. This is the essence of an MMO. If you can't appreciate that, then oh well, you're gonna keep crying about it.

Like the GM said, form a party. If you are complaining about this, others will be complaining too. Group with them and start shutting them down.

In what way is it naive?
Post can be summed up in:

a) Mafias require the constant demand for their products by the public to endure. As the reverse of this idea, people have the possibility to stamp out a mafia if an universal boycott was made.
b) Mafias tend to thrive in everyday reality as people do not care enough or do not want to shoulder the temporary burden of the boycott.

What part of this suffers from naïvete or delusional reading?
