I always wanted official Vanilla servers. And I was always expecting there to be a subscription fee for it. I don't see it as strange at all.

What are you doing here then? Go play it. Despite what you say, the fact you're still here, proposing shitty suggestions, tells me that you at least partially agree.

You're talking as if the characters were people. They are not 'dear' to me because it's just a game. I've had a R13 + 5/9 frostfire back in original vanilla and I sold that account for $150(which is pocket change for a lot of people). The fact that I could possibly get R14 and 9/9 T3 one day without having to worry about my characters ever getting deleted is worth more to me than a year spent on an emulated server, no matter how good that server was.

If you mean you're surprised that people would want official legacy servers - I'm surprised that anyone would be surprised by that.

The attraction of private, free vanilla servers has always been in the word "vanilla", not in the word "free". $15/mo isn't going to break anyone - not anyone who should be spending free time playing games, anyway. And the benefits of a stable, well-scripted, 1x vanilla server which will never face the risk of getting shut down - sign me up.

For me official vanilla version of wow is absolutely not worthy of the regular monthly fee because of many reasons which I already shared with you and paying the monthly fee would insult and offend my common sense and logic. However, I do understand your love and passion about classic wow and that all of you would pay monthly fee and some of you would even pay additional fees for it but that view of looking is unacceptable for me. And for all of you that started to be rude and unpolite, 4chan and reddit lust for you.

It seems you don't have a true passion for Vanilla! And that's okay. But most of us here deeply love classic WoW and don't mind paying a fee for it.

It offends my common sense and logic to not pay for it. I want a legacy server that I can play on without having to worry about my progress being wiped without warning. The odds of having Blizzard wipe an official server that they run is so close to nil that I'd be happy to pay for that peace of mind.

Blizzard created an awesome game, and they should be justly compensated for the work they put into it. I would be willing to bet that the main reason most people play on private classic servers isn't because they're free, it's because there is no official alternative. It's a private server or nothing.

Go visit official forums and look at how many anti-legacy people point out the fact that people only played Nostalrius because it was free. They visit these forums and quote people like you and point this shit to our faces. Are you expecting some other treatment from people by doing this?
