Bullshit, you can do decent dmg in any spec, even balance or retry pala. I had a ret in my raid (pvp epic+zinrokh) who used to be 6th on dps table.

That raid must've been fun:P if you play with competitive people that know how to min/max you'll fight for dps slot with healers and tank as ret or boomkin :P sorry to break your bubble but if you saw ret pala 6th on dps then you were just all pretty bad, I know you feel like seeing him 6th proved that ret palas exist as dps but in reality it only proved your raiders kinda sucked and didn't know how to dps properly.

On a server where we have Broken Abilities and where you could see Rogues abusing "Fire Rogue" this is result against High End Full T3 Rogue,Mage and BiS Warrior.

I played a bit of Nostal. But man, some of you kids have 0 idea what it was like in Vanilla. I'm willing to bet most of you were in your mid teens when Vanilla hit.

Hybrids were frowned upon in raiding for a reason .

That being said, with the average player being better these days and with Vanilla content being yesterday's news with everything already figured out, I don't understand why some guilds are so stringent with requirements and maximizing everything. Being in a top tier guild in Vanilla, we had hard requirements, but that's because we had to. Not everything was figured out. We were spearheading content. The average player wasn't as "good". It was a new game.

I guess there's no end to min/maxing, back in the days u were hardcore if u cleared stuff in 2 hours, nowadays we aim for <30minutes :P

Haha. yeah. But what's the point? lol. Might as well mess around with alts, hybrids, etc and just have fun. Surely, having full tier 2/3 doesn't mean anywhere near as much as it used to.

U're probably right:P although we had no real shot at trying properly scripted naxx 40 since retail so its hard to say what it would mean to clear it. I guess with servers like Nostalrius its not that content is so hard, challenge comes more with the fact that people don't have as strong motivation in general as years back:P So its hard to get a guild full of complete tryhards that will be always decked with consumables and stuff like that.

See you compare player style and skills with "Custom" server. That explains everything.

Also i am not so sure about which days you talking about 2 Hours clearing. Certainly in Vanilla you would raid 7 Days in order to clear some 40 man Content. Even if Farm Naxx you would waste 3 days clearing (speaking about 10% of the world top Guilds), Onyxia was the only Raid that would cost 15 minutes, ZG/AQ20 would cost 1-2 Hours clearing back in the days.

BWL and AQ40 was minimum 4-16 Hours clearing back in the days with "Hardcore" Guilds/Players.

2 Hours clearing was in late end TBC .
Inb4 there was nobody literally clearing some "Medium or High End" content with the knowledge in that time within 2 Hours like it is today.
