Can someone explain me why me having 220+5 skill from rod+75 skill from baubles = 300, can't fish anything in azshara. The fish just keeps getting away. Thank you.

Because you need 425 for successfully fishing in Azshara (300 skill + 20 pole + 100 attractor + 5 enchant). If you are on Horde you can skip enchant and get +25 fishing pole.

Not true, fishing there with 100% success rate right now with 250 skill + 75 lure.

How so? I have seen lots of gettaway fish even with 420. Bay of Storms, Scalebeard's Cave, Hataera's Clutch.

I have always fished in Azshara with any means of arriving at skill level 300. I'll tell ya what a possible problem may be though. Fishing in general doesn't seem to have the animations/sound most of the time for me. Zoom in on your lure. There is often an almost imperceptible "bobble" that was a fish strike. React to these slightest of movements and invariably you'll find there's a fish on there. If your situation is like mine, waiting for the splash sound/animation will result in no fish.

I know that, just listen to (off-game) music while fishing and watch lure, but he claims 100% success rate, and that was only possible for me with above mentioned setup. Lvled fishing from 260 to 300 skill in Azshara zone, only on 425 modified fish completely stopped getting away.. But if there is more of you without same issue then I probably just suck at fishing

Just went over there to show ya. This is my first cast at less than level 300 on pve realm. no lure, no fishing rod buff. First cast. Coulda taken pictures of the next 5 successful casts too, but I think you get the idea. Don't know what might be causing you problems if you're already aware of animation issues.

Ok, we don't understand each other, my bad. Never denied that it is possible to catch fish there with less numbers on skill, successfully fishing for me is when every cast is guaranteed to catch fish, for which i needed above mentioned setup.

Ya I never needed that. On pvp realm I can fish there successfully all day long with no lures or rod buff @ 300. The only time I miss is when I fail to see the bobble or if I'm not paying attention at all. And you said you can't fish anything..which is kinda not the same as saying, "I can't catch everything every time"

My miss rate in azshara is the same as anywhere else.

Look here's the deal.

Azshara's normal coastline is like 300ish. The Bay of Storms however, is 425.
