Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

First off, the PvE server has been spectacular since I've started playing on Nostalrius (no lag, friendly players, feels just like old times)! So, thank you to the people that make all of this possible for free!!

Has anyone heard if there are plans to open a new PvP server anytime soon? I am trying to level a character on both PvE and PvP, and the PvP server is basically unplayable due to lag, even during odd hours. I would rather not waste my time leveling if they plan to open a new one anytime soon.

I heard that there are no plans.

Unfortunately, the pop is only around 1.5+ at peak. Not quite enough for my tastes, but there's no lag/overpopulated problem. So that's nice.

Stick with the PVE server.

A post like this happens nearly everyday on here or the sub reddit. The team is held fast and wants one of each style server at the moment. They are working with optimizations for handling 10K at a time.

This is free and amazing so sit tight and be patient.

Thanks for the info all. The fact there are so many posts about the same topic seem to indicate there is a major problem and that more and more people are playing! I am worried that optimizations either won't fix the issues, or will merely fix them temporarily.

Have they said if donations can be put directly towards opening new realms, or are they just completely off the table?

That low? Last I checked in to see how those folks were doing I was told it was 700-800 for each faction at peak.
Too low for my tastes either way. What a shame.
