Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hi! My name is Stephen and I just joined Nostalrius. I was curios to what made you play (once again) vanilla Wow. Also is the community friendly? What is there to do after reaching 60? Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

Hey, welcome this community has it's ups and down but people are gennerally friendly. Once you hit 60, you have a ton of things to do. Gear pvp Raid. make friends get pre raid BIS prof max get patterns Etc. There is always somthing to do in vanilla, that isn't overly boring which is nice. As for me, what made me play retail Vanilla? It was an escape from the Trumazing childhood i had so it was nice to come home from middleschool / Work every day and play videogames.

Personally i played retail from cata to wod as free account lvl 20 twink, then i found out about private servers.

I started checking out servers, cata, mop, etc etc till i bumped on vanilla and stayed on it.
I realised how some things in vanilla suckbut other things make it better

No flying mounts, only 2 continents, people closer/more dependent on each other, how players are less anonymous, one may have reputation, how you can make a change in the overworld, dominate zones, mainly the world pvp is what i like.

And how there is unique gear rather just faceless sets. But i dislike how hard it is to get superior gear.

Really personally i dont mind, but i dislike it cause most people, including my guildies want to go after it, and feel forced to stay "updated" >_> guess its never gonna be perfect

Wanna play a MMORPG with thousands of people. Is jut depressing playing a MMORPG with few people like others servers.

PvP system. I played SWG and we had something similar for Jedi known as the FRS and it just makes sense.

I never raided in retail Vanilla, but I was extremely hardcore in TBC/Wrath before quitting after casually playing the first tier of Cata. One of my biggest regrets of my 5 years of playing was never properly experiencing Vanilla content.

a grrl talked me into reliving 2004-2006. i said "NO" but she insisted. then she got pregnant and stopped playing after not even three months. i suppose im still here because Riot Games is actively ruining League of Legends, just as Blizzard did with Cataclysm.
