Exploiting spots in neutral areas *aka* Safe Spotting

Apparently it's perfectly fine to do because the GMs on this server really don't give a fuck!

I"ve made reports about players abusing this in multiple locations... and the verdict.. (Nothing)

I've made reports in BB, Gadgetzan, and Light's Hope Chapel...

Right now, an undead mage - Saltines is exploiting and hitting players

Congratulations on being a douchebag on this server like many others...

He was just one of many... and I put many loosely like your mother's vagina.. because I sat there watching horde and alliance exploit that spot...

Just sad it takes days for any GM to even answer a ticket..

Sounds like your play style would be better suited to a PvE server on retail wow

Did your brain synapse a thought to type that garbage down?

If you had.. you'd of realized any pvper is ok when it comes to 60s ganking lowbies.. it happens and it's part of what makes a pvp server a pvp server.. what isn't cool is players getting into a spot, camping a fucking tent, eating smores and casting abilities and killing other players that grant honor in neutral areas where the guards would attack you. Thus giving the player the free honor.

Now that might be hard for some of you to gasp.. *the above two commenters for instance* but that would an exploit on the world pvp server.

How do you fix this? Well, if this server actually had active GMs; they could add more guards in areas so that it's not an issue for them to babysit an area. Or they, could babysit those areas as hidden and then temp ban those players.. once that temp ban has worn off maybe they won't do it again.. if they do permanently ban them..

Safespotting isn't allowed, as multiple of my friends have been warned while doing it, which I think is absolute bullshit.
Also adding that safespotting in Light's Hope Chapel should be allowed, as guards were first introduced in the Naxx patch.

Isnt safespotting = being somewhere that the guards actually cant go, so if they are aggroed on you they will just be standing still evading?

Pretty much in a nutshell, standing in place where you can attack everyone but the guards do nothing. If that player tries to defend by attacking back then obviously the player dies but the safe spotter doesn't..

Sounds fair huh?

Greetings,

safe spotting is not allowed. If you see a character utilizing a spot on where the guards cannot reach them, then please take a clear screenshot and include a link to it in your ticket. Note that just out-ranging guards is allowed, like often happens at Light's Hope Chapel - just run to the attacking player and you can fight them safely.

We have been buried under an unusual amount of tickets lately, which explains why response times in some situations have been longer than normal. Apologies for this.

The GM team.
