You will struggle much much more lvling in Alliance then Horde due player imbalance
You will not be able to find Dungeon Groups at any lvl and any given time if you join Alliance
You will be ganked alot, ALOT more if you join Alliance due player imbalance
You will take aprox 40-60h more to lvl as casual in Alliance due ganks in your journey to lvl 60.

Horde will protect you on your journey to lvl 60, dont worry we got the people.

shit, I've quested only killing 1 mob at a time and then being ganked by a 60 horde in stv.

4:6 for Horde is something you need to consider otherwise you get ganked to hell.
40-60h more to lvl a toon in Alliance is a serious problem- even if you have all time the world.

Faction loyalty expectations: Wow, people talking about the faction they're playing on and yelling cool things like "for the horde" or "long live the alliance" sure sounds cool!

Faction loyalty reality: Holy shit, these retards are ACTUALY insulting eachother over a video game faction.

Here's my experience levelling as a Night Elf:

Ashenvale-----> Got killed twice, usually was able to easily dispatch Horde attackers. One note though, the coast right next to Blackfathom Deeps is infested with Horde. I made it out without being ganked but I had to make use of Shadowmeld and dismiss pet often.

Wetlands/Duskwood: Not ganked

STV: I was killed four times total and also got camped once by a 60 Rogue.

Badlands/Hillsbrad Foothills/Alterac Mountains/Arathil Highlands: got killed once or twice by passing level 60's.

Hinterlands: Got killed once by passing 60 Warlock.

Searing Gorge: Got killed three times by passing level 60's.

WPL: Often got ganked by 60 Rogues as a level 50ish but I understand WPL is a notorious gank zone.

Tanaris: Got attacked often.

Un Goro/Silithus: Not attacked.

Overall, it wasn't too bad, and certainly much lighter than my levelling experience in WoW Vanilla retail, Emeriss-EU, back in 2005/2006. On that server, Southshore was camped by Horde raid guilds almost every day until 8 pm or so when they went raiding and there was much heavier PvP in the world.

It's just a fact that Vanilla was made entirely for the Horde's convenience. I mean like every zone has a Horde town in the middle with freakin level appropriate guards. Hell the last Alliance zone is Duskwood, a 25 zone. The last Horde zone is Badlands, a 40 zone. The first contested zone I saw with an Alliance town in the center is Arathi Highlands and there were a grand total of 4 non-elite quests in the town. I leveled a Horde to 60 first then I started on Alliance, I'm already 2 days behind hitting 60 at 44 here. It's ludicrous, there are 8 dungeon instances in Horde protected zones. There are 2 in alliance protected zones. The Horde have guards that protrol the roads and towns basically ontop of dungeon instances in the world. Horde has freakin guards. I mean the STV camp doesn't even have a guard, whereas the Horde get a massive injection of players from a zepplin directly into the center of the zone which is protected by guards.

It's like the WoW developers all played Horde then remembered there was another faction to be in the game so they stuck every single Alliance quest town in the corner of the map with 3 level inappropriate guards. And because Will of the Forsaken exists every guy who wants to pvp but can't even kill a green player in BG is going to be an Undead killing grays 20-40 levels lower than they are in order to not feel worthless. 40 levels lower because Alliance doesn't get a protected zone that lasts until 30.

It's insanity, every time I have ganked a Horde player a 60 comes out of the woodwork and camps me for 10 minutes. Horde has 60s patroling every single zone crushing grays because somehow that is more fun than killing gray kobolts and Alliance has a bunch of fucks in ironforge poking people on the bridge for ZG.

I've been telling my friends they should just level up Hordes and get aboard the EZ express.
