Cheapest class to level?

by seeker303 » Wed Feb 24, 2016 11:52 pm

I'm not asking for a suggested class to level :P I already have my classes haha. But I never really leveled other classes up much. Only to like level 20 or so. Anyways as the title suggests I want to know what classes are the cheapest or even going from cheapest to most expensive. This is taking most things into account, except epic riding and mounts cuz I consider those end game luxuries. example: Pallys save like 100G on their 40 riding, while Hunter's dont get a mount they save money in the respects that they never have to buy any gear from AH and what not to make their leveling more tolerable.

Anyways Thanks for the information ^.^

My guess would be warlock, from experience, though I don't have any statistics to back that up. But, the benefits are:

-Like Pally, no mount cost at 40.
-Pet class, so you can level easily and without stopping.
-Life Tap + health regen abilities means you don't really ever need consumables, so no need to buy water or food for the most part.
-Cloth armor and you don't take damage yourself (pets), so low repair costs.

Again, just a guess. It'd also be interesting for someone to take into account which class might be the easiest to make money with, which could cancel out higher costs.

I have to agree with you, but from leveling my warlock to 40 I found farming mobs in groups, while easy, very slow compared to when I leveled a mage or hunter. So I would say if your taking farming into account then Hunter because:
+Pet
+Pretty much never have to repair
+can auto attack and not reliant on abilities
+easily able to make gold and gets the +30% Movement from Cheetah
While Mages do kind of match Hunters they don't have a pet and are reliant on their abilities, so unlike hunter you can't really skip 2 or 3 tiers of spells because you want to save for a mount you are forced to buy them every once in a while. At least with hunter you can skip abilities and just get better weapons from dungeons, chests,, mobs, AH or crafted. So the better AoE farming isn't as big of an incentive as the many perks of Hunters. In comparison for leveling that is.

Hunter is the cheapest.

Warlock skills are more expensive and you need to buy new ranks of stuff regulairly.

You only need like, hunters mark or serpent sting to level a hunter, Also the aspect of run a lot makes the journey as speeded as almost having a mount at level 20.

Hunter is not the cheapest, you have to buy arrows and food. And mount.

It's warlock for sure.

Worth noting that warlocks have to pay the demon trainer every few levels. Buying all grimoires adds up to roughly 50g. Anyway, pick a warlock! It is by far the most greatest and fun class there is.

Had around 150-180g when I hit 60 on my wlock back at the start, don't remeber how much gold I spent on other demons. But I bought all the grimors for voidwalker, imp and I bought CC for succu and silence for the other.

You could just buy the voidwalker spells if u wanna save gold.

You only really need to spend gold on ranks for the void skills, for the rest just buy rank 1 and then max rank at level 60.
