I originally posted this for retail users, but I figured it would be just as relevant for Nost players, so here we go :)

Hi, I am an 3rd year student in a French political science school, and my project for this year's essay is to write about WoW's economy, especially as a potential "laboratory" for economic studies.

It should only take you a few minutes to fill the survey. Don't hesitate to criticize some aspects of it, as I am very new at this. Thank you for your time !

generally a good survey, except it shows "Le formulaire "Economic Behavior in WoW" n'accepte plus de réponses. Essayez de contacter le propriétaire du formulaire si vous pensez qu'il s'agit d'une erreur." when I clich the link.

Does serious and professionnals schools actually accept "WoW researches" as legit basis, without turning it into a huge and laughable joke ? :D

No trying to make fun of you, I know that for example, back in the days when ZG was released (or something), a final boss "contagious poison debuff" was spreaded into the world by a raider before it faded (must have hearted really fast probably), leading to an insane genocide between WoW players before GM's hot-fixed the problem.

Later, actually legit sociologists looked back at this accident, and what could be remembered from it in terms of "human solidarity" and "social behavior" (I don't know, maybe high-level players, who could survive it, intentionnaly running into starter zones, or Druids asking for money to Abolish Poison, players warning each other to log out or regroup in far territories in order to play without the debuff spreading and jumping to you from another player...) for the real world. Because, you know, thoses experiences are nearly impossible to reproduce there.

If you enjoyed this story, go search furthermore on the Internet, it is actually very interesting, fun and worth reading. :)
