The use of flying mount is unavoidable in the TBC server

by christopher312 » Thu Mar 03, 2016 4:01 pm

I think to be able to use Flying mount in the TBC expansion is unavoidable since it was one of the expansions main selling point back in 2006/2007.

What I believe you can do is however to:

1. Increase the level cap for the flying skill to lvl 70.

2. Increase the casting time for flying mounts.

3. Become dismounted while taking damage in mid-air (I don't remember if this already was the case).

The reason for these is to keep a healthy world pvp without a too big impact from flying mounts as we saw in the original TBC release.

The only negative impact I see is it will be difficult to do Mechanar, Botanica and Arcatraz since you need flying mount to enter the instances.

My opinion is I could manage without flying mount.

This means that druids could kill anyone in flight ;)

However, flying still requires level 67.

Kay, thanks christopher312.

What all you monkeyloids don't realize when blaming flying mounts for the lack of world PvP in TBC is that the only actual reason there was low activity on that front is because there is absolutely no incentive.

You get more honor by doing battlegrounds.
You only need honor to get gear for arena, once you've done the grind its over until the next season.
Besides, the world is way smaller in TBC (the part that matters anyway) and Nostalrius has proven that they can handle thousands of players which no other server has, so there will be plenty of retards running around on the ground.

If you want to fix something, fix it from the root and not from the leaves BUDDY.

Well i still would like to see flying mounts getting nerfed really, increase mount time, put cooldown on use etc, i see many ppl wanting it, and it wont harm for those who want flying.

Its something the community wants, to make the game more full of conflict in the outdoors!
Was good to have you all

Flying Mounts killed more than just wpvp imo.

Im not a WoW lore fan or any of that crap. Nor have a been someone who wants 'immersion' in his game. But thats what Flying mounts killed. is the immersion. Something that wow needs, and why i came back.

You do realise we're not all metafags like you right? I understand if you play the game strictly and only follow the meta trying to become as powerful as you can be, however some of us just like to do things for the fuck of it. World PVP being one of those things.
'tis but a jest, brother!

Yup. The reason is to discourage players to remain airborne for too long

The GM's have already said that flying mounts will be in TBC. So yes, it's 100% unavoidable :P

This is one the dumbest posts I've ever read. Its as if you have no idea what Nost is even about.

NEWSFLASH: The devs here deliver the most retail like experience in private server gaming, that is what they do. If you don't like retail TBC, THEN DON'T JOIN THE TBC SERVER!!!!

Imbecile.
