Is Warrior the best hybrid class?

Can be optimal tank, can be optimal dps. Even though vanilla's description of the class aims at them supposedly being tank only.
On the contrary, they hybrid classes, paladins, shamans and druids, can only try to optimize for healer while always remaining sub-optimal in dps/tanking specs.
If the hybrid tax feature is accounted for, then it makes sense, versatility should come at the cost of single task ceilings (paladins should be lesser tanks compared to warriors since they can heal, self-dispel, etc).
But if so, why is warrior dps not something akin to shadow priest level of dps?

Maybe for raids but not for dungeons.
I pick a tankadin/bear and shadow priest any day over warrior for dps/tanking in dungeons.

I'm familiar with the few advantages paladins have over warriors. Why a bear over a warrior?

Cus vanilla, no one had a clue what they were doing including the devs, at least in some aspects of the game

As a healer I prefer druid tanks in dungeons. They have a lot of health (makes my life easy as healer), very good aoe and very good aoe aggro. They also have useful tools. What they also have that warrior tanks lack, is A LOT of damage. Same with Paladins. They do A LOT of damage.
When it's time for a really hard boss, warriors are the king though, no question about that.

Seems so. Pity. I did find the idea of Pure classes who excel at their job, complemented by hybrid classes who sacrifice specialization by versatility, but who bring unique tools and buffs to the team.
If Warrior was a Tank only class, with Priest as the healer only class, along with the 4 DPS only classes, the Druids, Paladins and Shamans would function as connectors, offtank/offheals. Would be more varied and less standardized. In practise I rarely see anyone value the moonkin aura, while fury warrior is probably the most common and abundant dps after combat rogue and frost mage.

Shadow dps is not bad, the problem with spriest is that they lack sustainability without a lot of mp5 gear. Like oomkins, they can actually dish out a ton of damage but they will, sooner rather than later, go oom during longer fights. In 5 mans this is rarely if ever the case. Also the limited number of dot slots is also a problem in raids but almost never in dungeons.
The meta for 5 man groups is much different than for raids.

SP sucks in dungeons because most mobs have too little health to warrant putting up SWP at all.

Best comp ever in any dungeon hands down is; 1 Priest (holy), 1 Druid (resto), 3 fury warriors (or 2 fury, 1 arms).
With some gear and brain, with this comp you just smelt every single dungeon

And then the final boss drops 1x [Plate Helmet] and 1x [Magic Broomstick] and watch your dream team turns into
