Five Man Leveling Squad

I and 4 of my friends are rerolling alts and I was wondering what a good comp might be? Currently we have a warrior, paladin, warlock, mage, and rogue at level 8 but before we go further I wanted to make sure our team would be good for group quests and 5 mans both while leveling and at max level.

We all went human but if one of us decided to reroll I guess race wouldn't matter, so long as we're alliance.

Warr, Priest, Lock, Hunter, Rogue imo.
Get a mail user in there somehow and change healer from pally to priest or druid.

Mage for ports/food/drinks/sheep or Warlock for SS/Summons/various CC.

Yea we wanted a hunter but all wanted to go human for the free rep. I might see if our mage would be willing to reroll to hunter then.

The paladin healer was because I'm healing and I already have a priest so I wanted to try a different class. Maybe I'll try Druid if I feel that paladin gets a little sketchy in any of our early dungeon runs. I think paladins bring better buffs to the table though than druid would.

Awww, i envy you
You don't have to stick to one race if you want a best setup. Use pros list as a tooltip:

warrior - mortal strike, high damage, dd\tank
priest - stamina, dispells, aoe fear, mana drain, heals\dd
pala - auras, blessings, dispells, heals\dd\tank
druid - buffs, roots, innervate, battle res, heals\dd\tank
mage - sheep, aoe, water, portals
warlock - cc, dots, soulstone, summon
rogue - lots of cc, high damage
hunter - vipersting, cc trap, +ap aura

There is a lot of different setups you can compile, and use max cross-buffs, like melee or caster group, but in my opinion warrior+priest+pala will be the best core because it's an ultimate killing machine. Lots of buffs and dispells (almost impossible to cc such group), warrior will annihilate everyone with nonstop dispells. But this core is lacking of cc, so, 2 slots left, mage will provide you cc you needed, water+portals(very important on leveling)+aoe.
So, solid core is warrior+priest+pala+mage+??? You can fill the one slot with a class of your choice. Just use a pros list i gave you before. Rogue might be a good choice since its a lot of cc and good damage +benefit from warrior shout. Or warlock, so you will have 2 aoe classes in group, and if you make your paladin a tank (and warrior will be the arms for mortal strike), you can easily aoe every 5 ppl instance.
Well as i said before, there is a lot of choices, but the best core in my opinion is war+priest+pala+mage.

The only downside of choosing druid with your setup is if you are halfway into a dungeon, and one or two people die, good luck ressing. Pally would have good utility, but if you already have a priest, why would you want a second healing class leveled up?

Your setup is perfectly fine.

Don't force anybody to play a class they don't want to play or don't have fun with. Though, a Hunter instead of Mage/Lock would make things easier for loot distribution - but I guess this shouldn't be a problem with a group of friends anyway. Warrior and Holy Pally don't have that problem as you (the Pally) will (and should) take the int healer gear from any armor class - preferrably leather/mail/plate to not interfere with the cloth DPS. A Priest + Lock + Mage could be a bit of overkill on the cloth front and slow down your progression as a group.
