Lots of Rogues.

by urdunm » Thu Mar 10, 2016 12:29 am

Just wondering if I should be leaning towards another class as I have been playing rogue for quite sometime in retail.

I dont want to be stuck in endgame without a raid spot or have a tremendous battle between fellow rogues for gear.

Thanks guys.

There are a LOT of rogues on this server. I leveled mine to 32 and after unsuccessfully finding a group for Gnomer for over a week, I re-rolled a Warrior, since all I see in the LFG spam is "LF1M - Tank" all day.

If you wanna solo to 60 and probably post 60, stick with that rogue. If you want groups, re-roll to a tank or healer.

Please add which server you are talking about, or better post it in the appropriate server forum.

On the PvE server, (good) rogues are actually not that easy to find as a raiding guild.

Does this go for DPS in general or especially rogues? I'm trying to decide between Rogue/Mage/Warlock/Hunter/Shadowpriest for my first character. If I choose Shadowpriest I wouldn't mind healing in dungeons, but I'm not very good as a healer and don't like it so I wouldn't want to raid as a healer.

Rogue is the 2nd most played class (after warrior, but feels like 80% of them are either not tanking or just don't want to tank for random groups, and I can't even blame them for that) source: nsotalrious 1 year stats.
so Either go tank or go healer (pala, shaman, druid) :>

Very little reason to do rogue over fury warrior if highly concerned with raiding.
Fury is a lot more fun, has higher DPS potential, and allows you to tank when necessary.
It's just a bit harder/annoying to level a warrior, and lacks in solo PvP compared to a rogue.

1. We have had to pay 15 gold to find a tank for the Onyxia Attunement quest.

2. Once it took me thirty-five (35) minutes spamming for a tank for Strat UD.

3. We also have had to pay 10 gold to get a tank for LBRS.

(Alliance side)

About 7/10's of all the ads you see on world channel are "LF Tank"
