Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

My old account has been banned, and I think that's where my main character was, a lvl 40 or so undead mage. I was wondering why it was banned. I have never done illegal activities in WoW, retail or private servers. If it can be reversed, that would be fantastic, if not, could a GM check to see if my mage is in fact on that account?

EDIT #1: It seems it has not been banned, while logging in the first time it just said so. Now I can't connect to the PvP realm (where it says I have 6 characters) since I'm instantly disconnected. How can I fix this?

The server is probably offline

Servers are just getting beat down I assume, I tried to switch characters to send some bags over to a new warrior I made and now I can't get to the character selection screen.
