Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I started a warrior couple of days ago.
My background, well, I started playing WoW the day it came out back in.. 04? Or w/e it was.

Anyway, I had the time of my life.
Killin and running in elwynn forest.
Ran into a guy who I partied up with

Then. It was time to go to Stormwind.

The first thing I see in /2 is following "LFM Onyxia (some random item) RESERVED)

Reserving items.
End it.
Somehow.
I fuckin beg you.

Why should you somewhat ban it? It ruins the game.
Its like I'm saying to my friends, "If we ever find a dollar, its mine, I have reserved it. Ok? Otherwise I wont come."

I think its acceptable for raidleader to reserve some item(s) if he provides the means for an easy and painless kill ie providing a ts server with clear raidleading and maintank and so on. But I agree that rogues "hosting" onyxia without providing anything other than putting together a rag tag of unsaved people and reserving rogue t2 head or viskag is just laughable.

Basically this, if you're someone who can provide a nice smooth run then more power to you to reserve things like ZG mounts, Thunderfury bindings, MC BOEs. You've earned those things and chances are you wont be seeing a mount or binding in that run anyways.

Its the people who go "LFM ZG all the good Hakkar loot on reserve" that give reserving a bad name.

Why should you somewhat ban it? It ruins the game.

But yeah, it's dick move to reserve stuff in every goddamn pug. But just don't join them or form your own pugs then.

There's no way of stopping any player made up strategy, so long as it's not multiboxing, botting or that kind of thing.

Maybe IP-tracking and murdering people I guess.

i remember such posts 13 months ago, even before nostalrius release ... and you know what? it didn't change anything, anything at all. most population of the server is not your friends, with your friends you can make\accept any rule you want, and you know what? others doesn't even care about your rules, so do not stick your nose in to the others business

There will always be players looking for a shortcut to the good loot, at least in the Nost community - maybe there's another private server project with a more mature population who doesn't mind playing the actual game

It's just supply & demand really, I've seen the same person trying to fill his group for hours with some ridiculous "reserved" loot - other things are more logical (the kinds of things your guild officers would take anyway) so it makes more sense...

Just don't join those pugs, make your own pugs or join a guild.
You've got plenty of options, just don't be an entitled little shit, that is what made retail what it is today.

Like others said: Don't like it? Don't join it. Look for another or make your own.

you can't stop with reserves people m8.

i can suggest one thing i hope it is not against tou , go farm 300-500 gold , bribe the raid leader and enjoy in your item.

2 alternatives for that :
1- join raiding guild and enjoy farming your dkp/guildruns/guild loyalty and will lead you to get the item from raid
2- create your own run

this was only for raids. for 5 mans you can always get some tank for 50 gold and reserve any item you want.

i also don't like reserve items , gdkp etc . but we are living in world with toxic and greedy people and they will never change ... toxic forever and greedy forever .

the game is created to enjoy it , but that was 10 years ago . pandaria/cataclysm/wotlk etc have created huge inflation and provoke people into different greedy style which today we live in vanilla.
