A Final Solution to the Chinese Question

Let's be honest: they're ruining the server.
There are way too many of them and their numbers only keep growing - and what's worse, there's zero benefit to us Euros/Americans in having them here. At least you can have some broken English banter with the Russians and they're generally nice to have around. With the Chinese, you can't talk to them, grouping with them is extremely difficult due to the impossible language barrier, and their insanely high and still growing numbers are making the server constantly laggy. And then there's the gold farming. I don't know what it is about them - whether it's in their blood, or it's a cultural thing - but they just can't seem to help themselves. On retail you could understand it: they were getting paid to farm. On here? Most of them are doing it for free. They're destroying the economy, they're destroying our latency, and they are generally reducing the quality of the Vanilla experience for everyone.
It was never meant to be like this. When the Vanilla developers were designing this game they didn't do so with hordes of Chinese worker drones in mind. Vanilla servers were built to accommodate 2.5k players max - granted, the technology has progressed a bit since then and Nos does seem to be handle upwards of 6-8k without problems. But add the Chinese to the equation and what you have is a disaster.
So what do we do about it?
I don't have all the answers, but I do know this: playing on a server like Nostalrius is illegal in China. The only way they're able to play here is through proxys/VPNs; not only are they ruining the server, but they're doing it illegally. We have to somehow use this to our advantage. I'm not sure if the Nos staff would just outright ban them, so my proposal is that we find some way of making the Chinese government aware of what they're doing.
Now this idea is just in its infancy and needs fleshing out - and you know what? It might not even work. But we have to try.
Post your suggestions here. The future of Nostalrius could depend on them.
