I'm thinking of leveling with my dad, but i'm not sure if the amount of XP we get will be enough. Does anyone have experiences with this kind of leveling?

You'll get a little lower XP, but isn't it about enjoying time with your dear old dad? If you take complimenting classes you should be able to crush through content faster. Have a tank and a healer? Fastest dungeon group assemblies you can get starting with those two. I would love to have a leveling partner, even with lower XP. I enjoy this game with actual interactions.

I didn't go further than 35 with a partner but it was fine, except one half level we did at 29 because we felt we'd be missing some decent quests soon. The shit part is those "collect 10 items" since you have to do them for twice as long, and sometimes with the shit drop rates it feels boring.

Grinding is actually quite fast, especially if you find a decent spot and have classes that go well together.

Also since most quests will be extremely easy because you're 2, you should go for pvp specs, it doesn't change that much for the pve parts but will help a lot with all those chinese everywhere. I was a disc/holy priest.

Enjoy your time with your father.

Its perfectly fine and in some cases faster depending on what you are doing but like someone above me said just skip the "pick up x amounts of x" quests because they usually arn't even enough on the ground for one person so it takes very long with two.

I'm currently level 33 and have been leveling with a friend up until now. It's been going pretty easy so far, I'd even venture to say easier than solo leveling and definitely more fun. Normally, if possible, whenever we get the 'pick up x things' quests, we do circuits with other nearby quests when while waiting for mobs to respawn.

For example in westfall, we would circle the entire top half of the map and do the cooking quests, bags of oats, defias, and gnoll quests simultaneously and wouldn't have to wait for respawns.

During most of my WoW experience I have leveled solo, mostly because I play too much and outlevel anyone I meet.

However while following Joanna's leveling guide for horde while leveling my spriest, I met a warlock who was doing the same. We were able to easily coordinate our efforts and level together starting in the mid-30's. It was a completely different experience from leveling alone. We were able to easily farm out quests -- aside from some of the shared collection ones, which were mostly skipped. Also the two classes complement each other very nicely. We were also able to easily take down would be gankers, and starting in our early 50's were able to take down 60s who were interested in killing us.

Overall it made the leveling experience much better, and faster for the both of us.
