Hello everyone, I got all the hate out for you already in this post, so if you are to replay, please let's make this constructive.
Like you I am just another player that enjoyed everything from Vanilla. I won't detail here what you and I loved, you already know it. No, I make this thread in the hope that everybody will try to have a serious discussion about how to get this right, how to get out of this ichy situation.
We need to show our support to the devs and work in synergy with them, to protect them if needed. If really Nost devs haven't made any illegal money out of this (and I firmly believe they did not) then Blizzard is shutting down Nost because they "noticed"us, they see how our community is getting bigger and bigger and has certainly started to eat out of their already heavily bleeding player base... In the end the problem stays the same: money.
Strong of our 50k+ players voice (I made this number up, but numerics were 130k accounts so I just assume we are that many who play at least once a week) we should send a message to Activision. I saw a change.org petition. That is a good thing, EVERYBODY must sign it. But also the players that influenced the servers by their good actions (example: Not the Waxfaces) should record something, speak up on behalf of the community to express what we felt playing for a year on this amazing server, the most successful Vanilla that ever existed (please do NOT talk to me about Kronos, or whatever crap you can find online, Nostalrius is, and might stay the best that ever existed even after closure). Hell, I feel it was even better then Blizzard official servers back then!
People saying "chinamen doomed us" are just retarded. They didn't do anything that was bad for the most, certainly. I am part of the east asian community and played witt them since start, and they are extremely kind and never did anything wrong. And here in this situation they can probably help us. There must be out there a Chinese person that speaks english properly to translate all that to their community and can help to find solutions. There are hundreds of possibilities to fix this if only we ask ourselves the good questions...
I don't make this thread to cry about the closure. If it has to be done then be it. But how many years will we continue to let Blizzard spit on us, the vanilla community? How long will we accept that they treat us like pieces of shit just because we won't let them sell us the trashes they are making?
I can't stand these fuckers making millions not being able to open vanilla servers themselves for ridiculous reasons. Can you?
