Hey Nostalrius community and I hope staff,

First of all I wanna say I'm actually sad... Liuke a relative died ( well the unreal feeling that comes with it ).

But what I don't understand is the following:
Why rent some own lawyers and fight them?!?!
Post a goal with how much money u need in order to reach the amount for the best lawyer team in france?
I'm sure we wil win!

We are not making money, we are not stealing anything, we are using something old that was basicly threwn into the trash!

Isn't there some french lawyer playing that can look into this?

Cmon folks... Just one scary letter shouldn't be the end of all of us??

There's no way us common people can fight a big corporation like Blizzard. They're basically immune to stuff like this. Just give up mate, we just have to find somewhere else to relive our glory days of gaming.

Multiple reasons:

- Blizzard is actually right, it is their intellectual property and we are violating their copyright.
- Blizzard would likely want to set an example if it went court.
- They have an endless armada of lawyers and cash behind them.
- The Nostalrius devs are doing this in their free time, but they could be financially ruined in court.
- Nost devs could even lose their jobs if their names become public.

no you are wrong, blizzard has no actual power to shut it down. all that needs to be done is to switch the hoster, as any other project in the past did that got a dmca letter from blizzard and wanted to keep the project alive.

it has been done even with the same hoster as nost is using (ovh) it has been shown by a different project that had used this hoster in the past that all you need to do is show blizzard the middlefinger, wipe your ass with the dmca letter, switch the hoster and keep on gaming.

i can pm you proof of this if you like because idk if its ok to name a different server on here. there are no armadas of lawyers involved no billions of dollars... just a simple switch of hosters thats all.
