"it's illegal" = desperate fanboy reply

I'm sure like allot of you, I've noticed a huge amount of hate on the official WoW forums when it comes to anything to do with Private Servers, Legacy Servers and Vanilla WoW in general. Now to be fair, there is also some hate (some of it understandable) coming from the private server community on the same forums, though not nearly as much.
After reading a shit load of posts and comments though, I've noticed a particular thing that is a perfect tell if you're talking to a genuine fanboy, they automatically, when losing an argument (or sometimes even before) go for the "it's illegal" reply.
I mean you can tell they are doing everything to protect their bloated ego and hide that giant chip on their shoulder, which is Vanilla WoW, but even more so, it's the fact that they really fear ppl who like a version of the game where they themselves would have to be confronted with someone else being better than them.
And that is why (in my opinion) some ppl desperately defend the current WoW product, it's the old "I don't mind my doctor or my accountant being smart, as long as I don't have to be confronted daily with the fact that someone else might be smarter or better than me"
