Community of Nostalrius – Would you be interested in a shirt

Hello, I'm going to quite myself from a thread I made in the NostalriusBegins subreddit as I believe you guys have the right to express your opinions and give input as well.

Hello people, the last two days I've been laying out the groundwork for a campaign as well as designed four 'Remember Nostalrius' themed t-shirts. I would like to maintain and organize this campaign and host it together with Teespring.

During these past few days I’ve seen a few mentions and wishes for Nostalrius themed shirts and I thought to myself; I can make it happen. I’m a designer & video producer for online media performers full-time and I’ve got a deep love for Nostalrius with many hours played on the server.

So I spent yesterday designing four different, what I like to call, ‘Remember Nostalrius’ shirts. They’re all in grayscale designed with a semi-minimalistic approach to keep the cost of each shirt as low as possible. (Color and a multitude of hues and tones increases production cost)

I’ve made some attempts prior to making this thread in contacting the Staff and Administration of Nostalrius for their input, and what I hope, for their approval of the campaign. However, as I’m sure they’re all very busy dealing with the shutdown of the server and the lawsuit they haven’t gotten back to me yet. So I’ve decided to poll you guys first, the community, to see if there is an interest for a shirt campaign or not.

**To the Staff & Administration of Nostalrius:** If you deem this little project of mine interesting(or not), I would love to have a chat with you whenever possible regarding some of its details! Thank you.

Let’s get to it, I’ve made an initial Strawpoll and it’s quite straightforward; Yes, No, Maybe. Should the campaign be deemed interesting by this community I will go on explaining it in more detail regarding pricing, allocation of potential profits, etc.

I was planning on going over these details when and if the campaign would launch, but I don't see these details changing much so I can share them now.

My original plan has been this; (input appreciated) Any and all potential profits will be split threeway.
* 33% to Staff & Administration of Nostalrius (To do with as they see fit)
* 33% to Extra-Life Charity
* 33% to my sick Mother (My share goes to her, I hope this will be fine)

I personally will not keep a single penny, proof and confirmation of every transaction would be made public once they are available. (One of the reason I'm so keen on talking with the folks of Nostalrius about this) There wont be much profit anyways, will try to keep the cost of the shirt as low as possible without risking a setback.

You are right, I used an old cutout I made years ago for another project. I didn't think of it at all when I made the shirts last night, thank you for pointing that out - Will definitely make the necessary changes.

So after some discussion with some of you guys here I together with 'pollution555444333' came to the conclusion that we needed to rework the design as both the Crest of Nostalrius logo and the map of Azeroth are both trademarks of Blizzard.

So I spent the larger part of yesterday and today prototyping and developing a new crest to use instead. I took inspirations from the Nostalrius crest and colors they used. I decided I wanted to add something to sort of represent the community somehow. So I added the middle 'core' surrounded by dark swirling forces, resisting; think diamond strenght, resilient, forever. (A bit cliché perhaps but I thought it fitting.)

Thank you for the feedback. I have expanded the possible designs to eight (8), one of them is without any logos which people can vote on. So, I got you covered fam.

Now keep in mind, I never designed these to replace the "official" Nostalrius logo. They are just meant to be an alternative for this campaign project. Also, I sort of rushed them together since I want to get this campaign underway. There has been a lot of interest for this from the guys over at the subreddit.

Personally not a fan of the black/grey but the red and blue looks really nice.

Second row and first version is very sexy.

I have this shirt in Navy blue from my volunteer work in the Navy, the color is splendid and being a sport polo makes it something I can wear with sandals or in a more professional setting. The shirt has seen over 3 years of abuse and still looks sweet!

Get Nostrilaius in gold embroidery (in the same font as the home page) and I will throw money at you. Seriously I refuse to buy some shitty standard shirt that every nerd can get silk screened! NO, we deserve a collar and a enduring rich color that that navy blue represents!

Dont put a bunch of silk screened crap, make it simple sweet and something that a few years of abuse and washing can dishout.
