Kronos oddness

I've been on Kronos a bit.
Joined a guild, "Nostalrious Refugee Core".
After a bit, I noticed the name and I said, I think "Nostalrius" is without an "o".
Turns out apparently "Nostalrius" is on a word filter...
Which seems bloody odd to me.
It's not a friendly thing to do, it infringes on what players want to do, *and* it just doesn't work. There's no good sense in it *at all*.

Afaik there was a Kronos vs Nostalrius beef. So i guess they filtered the word to stop people from talking about Nost.

Common misunderstanding with censorship, authorities thinks it prevents the everyday people from learning of the existence of something. However obviously it has no effect at all if not a negative one. Look at american TV where you cant swear (hillarious), everytime they censor something everyone knows "ah thats where he said "fuck"". You can compare it to the war on drugs and the war on terrorism with some analogy.
But yeah... banning the word "nostalrius" on kronos so people dont get wind if nostalrius is just plain delusional. Glad this shit didnt exist here

Yeah lmao, they also hide the population count on their site and /who after nost annouced their shut down. Census addons also stopped working.
I wouldn't be so quick to junp onto of kronos. Their devs seem sketchy as hell. Lets wait awhile for the nost codes and see who does what with it.

Why not leveling while waiting? Just in case.
Thousands of others doing the same, the server is bloody full my census counted over 13k horde chars in like 3 days.
Its just my opinion, if kronos will be the server for the future i already got a char there and dont lose time, if not, ill level again. Better then not to level at all and loose time.

Have you guys ever listened to Terenas Menethil II's speech about the [SPOILER ALERT] Lich King's fall?
It goes a little something like this:
"Without its master's command, the restless Scourge will become an even greater threat to this world."
Without Nosalrius, Arthas in this case, Kronos and other private servers will become a great threat to the private server player community. They no longer have anything holding them back to add fully pay-to-win features to their realms or to sell gear and to sell level boosts because Nostalrius is no longer fierce and free competition. Since most servers aim to be, or are, for-profit groups it wouldn't make any sense for them not to do this seeing as there is a massive influx of users who lost everything, who would be willing to pay to have it back, coming to their realm. Plus there is no longer a MASSIVE non-profit server like Nostalrius soaking up everyone and preventing this short of business model.
Don't trust for-profit private servers. They're shady and never have your best interests at heart.

I've heard reports that Kronos heavily monitors chat and suspends people for random stuff. Not sure how much truth there is to it, though.
What I'm not a fan of on Kronos is that although people praise its quality and well scripted content, what I've observed from playing to level 18 has shown me otherwise.
The first issue I ran into was the spiders in the cave at the Night Elf starting area glitching through walls and some even walking on top of the ceiling of the cave. I ignored it and continued, and things seemed fine except for some pathing that was rather annoying to deal with as a caster. Sometimes enemies would run to the center of my character instead of next to my character, and sometimes this would cause them to run through me and be behind me. This problem alleviated itself eventually. Might have been happening only for certain mobs, but still very annoying.
When I got to Deadmines is when I decided I didn't really want to continue on Kronos. Mobs that flee at low health in there do so at speeds that are faster than their normal running speed, or at the very least equal to it. Makes it so you have to rely on snares/stuns or pulling mobs back really far. Otherwise you risk chain aggroing other groups of mobs.
The other thing that I disliked about DM was that some pats that were supposed to spawn after an event, such as the pat that spawns in the foundry after Gilnid dies, were already up when we got to the area for the first time. Not only that, but it seemed like there were two groups spawned. But they didn't pat up the ramp like they were supposed to. They stayed at the bottom, with all the goblins. Speaking of the goblins, most of the goblins in that room didn't spawn a robot.
I could also talk about how it seems like some elites are a lot weaker damage-wise than they should be, buuut I think I made my point. Even if end-game is well-scripted, I'm sure we're all aware that the journey matters, too.
