I know everyone wants to jump on the hate wagon with their decision to continue Garrisons but (ironically) this is actually a good sign. If you look at their track record this is very different behavior from the norm in which they'd dump a feature that didn't pan out rather than iterate and perfect it.
Just because something doesn't initially work out doesn't mean every incarnation will be the same. I don't play retail and I don't plan to, but I don't think it's fair to put a negative spin on everything just because you're upset.
