The current breed of blizzard fanboys want instant gratification and would rather avoid any remote challenges. Combing through comments on the retail forums is like sodomizing myself with a rusty fishing knife. At this point I can't understand why anyone except the utmost hardcore Blizzard fuckbois would consider buying Legion, considering there's an old saying in Tennessee. I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.

It's really much, much more simple than that: When you live in a certain way, it's much more convenient, lazy and comfortable to stick at it rather than change, even if you aren't entirely satisfied/wish things were better. Every other argument is just a way to justify that sort of decision, or rather lack of decision. That's why pro-retail arguments are carbon-copied arguments from blue posts.

I have read a ton of people these last few days that go: "Oh, well the game isn't too great, but I have dedicated 10+ years to it, so I can't quit now". Phallacy. The longer you take to make a change, the worse it is.

But, this is how most social issues go through, not just gaming.

Blizzard's response to feedback is either no or Soon^TM.

I know the shutdown of Nostalrius isn't on the same magnitude of heat they're taking but that's also because retail players don't stand behind us. They will buy Legion even if it was a packaged box of Blizzard's shit, it doesn't matter what direction Blizzard takes the game they'll still make money. Gamers should stand behind fellow gamers and I hate that there's a divide between retail and vanilla. The only way to get a reply from Blizzard is if retail players also had joined the shitstorm but they hate us more than Blizzard does.

If it weren't 01:16 here, I'd make a list of things that are total fanservice in Legion. But I gotta get up in 5 hours, so I'm just gonna comment here so I don't forget.

Watched a vid for the frost DK artifact, you know, the reforged Frostmourne pieces (Beautiful LOTR ripoff from Narsil becoming Anduril).

The character was created, 20 minutes later he's smacking mobs, with white/yellow weapons ,that die in 2-3 hits while doing 1% damage to his health bar, all while Bolvar as a poorman's version of Arthas, brands him the champion of his wrath, leader of Acherus, and the guy that will now use Darion Mograine as an errand boy for order hall missions.

Good storytelling is good.
