For the Nost Server Closing ?

I read what happened and me and some of my friends who played singed the petition in support. I was bummed, because I had been busy/away for like 3 months and hadn't logged on until Friday (2 days ago). And I was like dang, the server is down again? meh typical I guess... I tried a few times and gave up. So then yesterday I tried to login again and it was still down. So I'm, like OK, I'll check the forums, which is when I read about the lawsuit threats, and server shut down posts, etc. signed the petition, made some tweets. Sorry again. /rip
I know, cool story bro right?..
So anyway, my post here is asking, is/was there any way you could notify the community what happened through the log-in WoW startup splash screen (not sure whats it is called) or by sending emails to us? For me If I knew about this I would been able to play one last time.. But more importantly, if you are able to inform users other than the forums and interwebs, then you can let all the subscribers know what's happening with option to sign the petition. Some people don't use the forums. They just assume it is down and go some where away. Although I'm not sure I guess, eventually they may check the web like I did... Anyway, I'm just thinking of methods to reach everyone who played here since it's such a bummer. Plus I'm disappointed I didn't get to log on say bye to people I met or take part on the last day and march with everyone
