Why do private servers....

So often rely on "instant level x" "super xp boost" "get starter gear here!"?
One of the biggest problems that retail WoW has right now, is the complete bastardization of all, but the end-game, content. Noticing the amount of private servers that offer these features, I wonder then, what's the point of running a previous version of the game if just to follow the same moronic philosophy "game begins at sexteh/seventeh" ? Reminds me of people who run away from something just to continue doing the same thing they supposedly disliked in the first place.
Although classic servers seem to have this on occasion as well, I'm specially noticing this when it comes to Burning Crusade projects. Whether it's the instant level 60 of PlayTBC, or the super-fast megaquest to get to level 58 in 2 hours for Corecraft, everyone seems to share that moronic idea that 80%+ of the world should be skipped for the sake of convenience; completely glossing over the fact that if you were to start a draenei or blood elf at the beginning of said expansion you'd face the regular 1x classic world, just as any player who bought the game at that point would.
What's the point then?
"We dislike retail, we run out of things to do after a couple months. I know! create a former version of the game but put as max level so we can run out of things to do in a couple months, that'll be different, yeah, good call dude".
