The NOPE v.s. Dreamstate rivalry really started heating up during the last couple months of Nostalrius.

Fortunately, it is crystal clear who came out on top. Kungentv let his 6,000 viewers know just a few minutes ago:

I just clicked your link. Kungen was talking about how the staff spent 5 years of their lives to make Nostalrius for us. All their hard work and effort just gone now. Made me tear right up. :(

He was the GM and main tank of the best guild in the entire world. Nihilum got world first C'Thun and Kel'Thuzad, plus basically every single world first in TBC from launch through Black Temple. Yeah, I think Kungen's a pretty good authority on Vanilla/TBC WoW.

So the guy on Nostalrius who had the name "Kungentv" wasn't actually him I assume? Cause that guy was a keyturning shitter. I don't follow e-celeb circlejerks so I am unaware.

Wow that's some major pvp achievements.

But even solely from a PvE perspective. Of course Nihilum was way ahead of the curve back then, but now adays any half decent nost guild would shit all over 2005/2006 Nihilum.

Just a clarification on the bolded.
Death and Taxes got the first kill on Nightbane in Karazhan, as well as Malchezaar. They also proceeded to get the first world kill on Maulgar. Then in SSC, they got Leotheras, Karathress, Morogrim Tidewalker and Lurker Below. Thing is, Nihilum managed to get the last boss kill that earns more publicity (just like they did in Naxxramas or AQ40 for that matter), by getting Gruul and Vashj, along with Magtheridon.

They got more consistent by the time of The Eye, only losing the world first on Astromancer Solarian, but regarding Hyjal they lost Azgalor, Anetheron and Kaz'rogal. Once again, getting Archimonde covers up.

I think you're referring to BT where they did get all the world firsts.

It's pretty impressive nonetheless, not trying to diminish. Only Paragon and Method have a larger showcase.
