Time to "pop" the Legacy server movement?

by EyeOfTruth » Thu Apr 21, 2016 5:52 pm

Have you guys tried to reach musicians about this Nostalrius closing?

There is a lot of new audience what might not be familiar with gaming community or gaming media. And for sure I know some band members which have being wow addicts in the past.

Musicians have being known about their community oriented controversial subjects and ideas. I would not be surprised if someone in that scene have something to say about this.

What you think? Is there chance?

This is not a good idea IMO. It would be hard to explain to someone who is not familiar with the situation how it is not only a question of intellectual property, copyright and piracy. I think they would prefer to line up with Blizzard just because it would be much easier to explain. Otherwise they would risk to be labled as hypocritical if they consider piracy the illegal copies of their music, but do not apply the same standard for videogames, even though it is a totally different issue.

True, both are part of entertainment industry. I'm more interested, is there any position to express personal opinion on this matter without your manager coming breath your neck. Opinion is enough, It's the popular face what matters.

Exactly like the game event commentator said "I would like to play Classic wow" - There isn't anything illegal to say that. Anything extra is plus

Unless they played vanilla, i wouldn't bother. They're not gonna come out to support some random fan project they don't know shit about.
