I completely forgot how legit of a playstyle this was, boosting low level players through elite content for gold and how much of a big deal it was when you got it for free. It sort of felt like the hand of god coming out of the clouds to help out some peasants who couldn't get their shit together.
Or guard duty from high level players around hot gank zones, not instigating fights but simply punishing those who went out for blood (from the other faction of course). It's amazing how classic WoW had so many non-raid things to do without having systems designed to provide them, the pacing of the game simply created organic environments that let this occur naturally.
