Every revolution gets to this crucial stage. Beware.

by Kadmium » Tue Apr 26, 2016 10:54 am

So for the past two weeks we have went through something extraordinary, a private server of an old game was shut down, hundreds of thousands of people rose up as a result and spent hours and hours of their time to make sure that it does not die in vain.

Nostalrius stood for something meaningful, something beautiful, and we fought for its legacy valiantly. Leaders emerged in this process, Mark, Soda among many.

Today, this movement like many real life revolutions reached a crucial point, for both us and Blizzard. Its the climax, the turning point, the decisive battle.

Usually, the people demand justice, something to be preserved, or a change in a policy, in this case we want Legacies servers, preferably ran by Nostalrius staff hired or licensed by Blizzard.

The governments, in this case Blizzard, defends their reputation and power at all cost, and seeks to 1. silence the people. 2. if 1 fails, tries to pretend like their are giving in, but in reality offer a vague, slightly better than a complete no kind of answers.

RIGHT BEFORE THE PEOPLE'S END GAME, so they stay defiant until the last second, then release a statement similar to what we have seen today, to make the people feel like they have succeeded.

We have NOT succeeded, we have been offered nothing, to add insult to injury, it was Allen Brack himself who delivered this statement which is the complete opposite of youthinkyoudobutyoudont.

Allen Brack needs to be apologising for what he said, for his attitude, if he wants to appear sincere. What makes a man a trust worthy man if he cannot even take responsibly for his mistakes and apologise publicly?

This is merely Blizzard trying to minimize bad rep and become the good guys again, this works in real life most times because people get used to the crappy ways they are treated and any slight promise of better treatment in the future will make them lower their guard and be fooled.

Once the climax of the revolution passes without the full impact,it takes a miracle to reorganise something this powerful again. This might be our only chance in a long time.

Do not be tricked my comrades, do not forget our goals, do not settle for crappy offers like pristine servers, keep your eyes on the prize, the end is near, play our ultimate spell right and we will win.

Don't keep the players in the dark.

Nostalrius Staff should release a statement regarding how hopeful they are regarding their talks with Blizzard, we trust them more at this point.

FUCK J ALLEN BRACK FUCK BLIZZARD BRING BACK NOSTALRIUS

Too much?

Let's just hope the people who signed the petition aren't so easily deflated. This bastard's post infuriates me. The type of anger that pumps you for a fight where you'll use your own broken limbs as weapons.

I hope our champions do not taint their names and deliver what they promised.

I hope if we are gonna go down at least we go down with pride and integrity.

This is Blizzard trying to put out a fire with a fart. Anyone who takes this as a worthy concession has given up. The cracks are showing in Blizzard with this rhethoric, hope we can push them further. There is 0 chanse im leaving private servers for some "Pristine" bullshit.

I agree with everything you've said, and whole-heartedly, *except* I do not think we're anywhere near as far along as you think.

This is only the end of the beginning - Bliz have finally had to respond. They've had to acknowledge the existance of Vanilla. That's the first - only the first - step.

The most important thing here is to not keep pushing. We have blizzard backing up a little so keep jabbing our way in to throw that bomb left hook for the knock out. Secondly, we need to keep attention on their FB and any other form of social media we can access. Keep the hate coming until we can get legacy servers

I totally agree with that. And i Think Blizzard lost a battle today. They tried to split our community with this Pristine shit, but they failed. Look how many tweet we have, and how we are posting here. Now the Mark's video is on, they will receive the petition...

I think it must be very painful to work at Blizzard's office these days.

That's precisely why it was him, and him alone. This was Blizzard's polite way of saying "No thanks, and go do something very naughty with yourself."

Blizzard can go do something naughty with themselves. They ripped out my heart and stomped on it. I'm done. The comma I had in place when I paused giving them money for anything has now changed into a period. The End.

Edit: self censorship
