Nostalrius Developers: The weight is on your shoulders now.

by Meliov » Tue Apr 26, 2016 10:54 am

A personal appeal to our dearest developers. The developers that made it possible for all of us to relive the days of what was and should have always been the real World of Warcraft.

We've stood behind you when the realm was at its finest and everyone was enjoying what you've created. We stood behind you even more united, when Blizzard attacked our community - we fought on social media, spread the word as much as we could, spammed Blizzard, even harassed them at times..

Now, it is time for you to stand behind us. All of us, the 236 thousand people that signed your petition. A petition that is as much yours, as is ours now.

Please, do not settle for the crumbs of bread Blizzard are trying to give us based on their last statement (signed by J. Allen Brack of all people). Please, have the confidence to realize that WE, TOGETHER, are the ones making the demands to Blizzard, not the other way around.

Please, do not settle for any "pristine" half way solution to what we have been fighting for. Understand, you are now the voice not only for yourselves, but for the game we love, for all the hundreds of thousands people that followed and supported you as much in good, as in bad.

Have the confidence to say NO. Have the confidence to speak up to any Blizzard employee, no matter of their position, and show them what is wrong and what is right behind their ideas.

Count on us. We will be behind you always. I don’t dare speak on behalf of everyone, but I would much rather see no Legacy WoW server, than an official sorry excuse for one. And I sincerely hope other people share my opinion too.

Finally, above all else, stay true to yourself. We fell in love with the community you created. With the ideas you fought for. With the determination and dedication you’ve led us in all the right directions.

We fell in love all over again, with a game that we though was lost forever.

Please, do not let us down.

Well written mate, let Blizzard know exactly how it is!

They know how powerful you are and what an awesome feat you've achieved Nost team.
we as an amazing community do hold some form of power now, and blizzard knows this.

Let's make this happen!

You spoke on my behalf, I will stand with you, behind our community and Nostalrius.

Don't be fooled, don't take their crap, anything but legacy servers 100% as they were is as good as being meaningless.

We would rather not have vanilla wow again and live in memories of Nostalrius forever than to see it butchered by YTYDBYDlizzard.

Daemon, Viper, Nost Team. Don't be "star struck" just because big-boy Blizzard is talking with you. Assert your dominance. "Pristine" is a far cry from what we all truly want.

+1. The fact that they're talking to Nost team means that Mark has a good chance on getting his word out and seeing the CEO in person.

J Allen Brack is a visionary! Listen to this man, he knows what we want before we do! A billion dollar company can't afford legacy servers, Fromsoftware didn't make Dark Souls and jet fuel can melt steel beams.

Brack told us again:

"You think you do but you don't" and then told us to fuck off.

Our only hope is that they will license the Nostalrius Admin team to start their own Vanilla servers but this time officially sanctioned by Blizzard.

As a fan of Nostalrius and promoter of the server, I agree with the above and I too ask the Admins (Viper, Tyrael) to prepare a press release and inform us regarding.

Seems more like they were beating him to the punch. Now all we can do is wait and see if his message has any impact.

Beating him to the punch so our end game "Mark Kern delivers 11k pages letter and Soda posts video" generates less of an impact because now the comeback will be "they have always been nice and they responded already", common dirty tactic every revolution has to face.

Any Allen Brack response is an insult unless he opens with "I am sorry but I was wrong about the demand for legacy servers"
