Ugh... I hate sounding like a total conspiracy theorist,
but this all seems like a tactic to divide our forces and give more ammo for the anti-legacy people.
Some people who are supporting return of legacy servers will undoubtedly find these pristine servers to be positive. And they will stop asking for legacy and just play on them instead. Even if it's only 10% of the people who signed the petition, that's a lot of crowd backing down, on Blizzards own terms.
And imagine the response if pristine servers comes out and we're still asking for legacy servers?
"LOL Blizzard gave you what you wanted, nothing will make you happy, see it was nostalgia afterall" etc.
I can't say we got anything good from that forum post, except that Blizzard are still talking to the Nost team, which might mean nothing as well.
I really hope that Mark Kern still wants to follow through with his plan, and that our momentum doesn't get halted by this.
