He says they would already have replied if it was a No and it could be a PR thing. Ok I agree personally but IMO the best time too announce them would be prior to their movie coming out and have the live several months after legion.

Well the simple truth is if legacy servers were to come it would be 6 months or so before we saw them, assuming blizzard puts the proper number of staff on it. So, lets say they approve legacy...we're still months away. Just got to keep up the fight for months on end until we get what we want.

There are a ton of private servers online, play them and boycott Blizzard products until legacy comes.

If Bliz offer Vanilla, we're fucked.

Bliz culturally *do not get Vanilla*.

If the WoW team at Bliz who have produced retail are given Vanilla, it will go to hell.

It has to be Nost or someone like them who does Vanilla - NOT Bliz.

It won't happen. Get real.

- Nost team is barely talking to us, we got no info, and it's not because they're making any secret deal with Blizzard.

- Blizzard is a bilionary company. WoW could die tomorrow, they still got plenty of games who generates tons of cash. They do not need us, and we have nothing to offer. Except shame and embarassment "Yeah, we're a big company, but we got wrong for the past" And this will not happen. Why ? Because Blizzard need trust from shareholders. And even if Vanilla will be something great for our comunity, it will be so wrong for the shareholder. I let you guess which group is more vital for Blizzard.

- Still no announcement yet. It's too late now. You don't go for something this big, this important for this game when the protests are slowing down and the Blizzard fanbase is going mad against us. It would be pointless now.

And i'm as sorry as you do, i loved this game, i loved this month with you on this amazing server. But i think there is no reason now to believe in a short/mid-term vanilla server.

The reason I say this is legacy server will work when they are done with WoW, or near the end. Their new baby is overwatch and warcraft lore(this is all opinion). So If and this is If they are going to have this happen it needs to be at the correct moment, movement or not(advertising stand point). As "hope" (thats what any of this was anyways) this would seems like the last possible point until they call WoW done.

You are all wrong. Mark Kern said, even if Blizzard decides today to do Legacy server, they wont make an announcement in months. It would be for the Blizzcon.
Moreover, the problem with Blizzard is not "shareholders" because Legacy server is a good marketing strategy. Blizzard just realised how high is the demand for that.
Finally, Blizzard said they would talk to Nostal team. Lets wait to see what they talked about.

I think you show a lack of patience. Those things doesnt change in 3 weeks. We made them move, and they understood we dont want the pristine server. So lets wait, work more for the petition and play Vanilla on a private server.

It might be true, but I would instantly preorder Legion if they announced legacy servers with Legion account req. (as I'd expect them to do)

If they wish to delay getting my money it's their choise I guess.

tbh, i hope i'm wrong. I really do.
Anyway, i still think Blizzard won't go for Legacy. It will send a wrong message to shareholders: "Heyyy, hmmm, we got it wrong for the past 6 years. But heyyy, don't withdraw your money, we'll try something new, and it'll work. We hope so." And Shareholders are more valuable for Blizzard than all the players.
And again, why let this legacy rage train go on until Blizzcon ? It's not usefull.
But, as i said, i hope i'm wrong;
