Would Blizzard Fuck Up Vanilla WoW With Character Boosts?

My biggest concern about blizzard releasing a legacy server would be them allowing people to boost themselves to level 60 and buy things like epic mounts with real cash. This would total ruin the vanilla experience. We want the game to be exactly as it was. The way Nostalrius did it. I fear they will not understand this.

If they add stuff like that it wont be vanilla and it will backlash at them.... bad. It depends on how greedy they are (if they decide to do it). Because, having stuff like that contradicts the reason for them to be created in the first place.

If Bliz do Vanilla, it will be a disaster for the cause. It will set things back by years, because people will try the official servers and will want them to work - but they won't, and I'm afraid it'll take a long time before people give up on them.

That seems like an unfair asumption tbh, if they just can just keep their greed at bay it would work out fine.

If Blizzard would release vanilla, they would have to add that pristine server idea ontop of it.

No heirlooms, no LFG, no LFR, no crossrealm shenanigans.

They know clearly what we're asking for. They're not going to fuck it up, it would be a waste of their time to even start legacy servers and implement newer features as no one would want it. Stop worrying about it...

Ofcourse they would, they're Blizzard... the ones who turned vanilla WoW into the sludge it has become today.
Unless they do EVERYTHING EXACTLY like Nostalrius tells them TO THE POINT! Then it will be a failure. Best thing to do would be to just let Nostalrius do their thing, but since their stubborness won't let them, they should just hire someone from Nostalrius and give them absolute power over the legacy project.

It would depend on the teams policy, i'm sure there are still passionite people who work at blizzard and cheer for this kinda shit. and try to keep legacy servers pure, but i doubt we'll get Real legacy servers if any.

Depends how the interaction goes, during initial development of World of Warcraft, Blizzard went out and recruited the GM's of some top Everquests guilds to give detailed insight on the good and bad. There is no denying the contribution this outreach made to the masterpiece that followed. If they are as open minded in this regard and remember the past success of such integration, I think the results will be good.

Ironically they now need to recruit players from Classic WoW to tell them what to do with WoW. They have no idea what to do with the game anymore.
