Please confirm if you are ever releasing these files or is this a myth. Fed up of waiting now. i could be level 60 somewhere else already but i choose to wait as i had faith in the Nostalrius Team.

Nothing happens as we planned it and generally everything goes to shit.

Welcome to private severs buddy. No one owes you shit, the fact that Nostalrius went out of their way to get Blizzards attention and actually going to have a real life meeting with them is pretty amazing for the private sever community. Even if they release the source code it's just going to spread out between 10 other hosts that butcher the server anyway.

but they could just say like Either yes we will release data files or No we will not be releasing any files.

It's something you're going to have to get used too. I along with a lot of other people had AQ40 on a stick for a year and a half and was given a half assed bug infested AQ and the server died right after that. Don't expect much from private severs.

I'm speculating here, but I think a majority of the community and the admins would rather work with blizzard first to get official legacy servers. Releasing the data wouldn't really help those discussions.

I dont want the data, i want them to give it to someone whose not scared of blizzard.(not me First Sign of a court letter id be Shaking in my boots and probally piss myself)

Don't expect them to release any code before they have meet with Blizzard.

The Nostalrius guys did a professional job, and they will act professional when they meet with Blizzard too. Making their code public before that meeting could easily ruin everything which has been build up until now.
