I am thinking there will be a legal discussion to see where all the money from the product will be going. 250,000 x 15 = $3,750,000 a month.

O yea.... probably multiple contracts for the Nostalrius staff with very key points in staying away from the $$ and just designing the game for the for a salary of 60k a year, if that. (per person?)

The real questions are... how many staff will be going to meet with Blizzard? When will this be happening? If we do see legacy servers after this (thank god)... what is a realistic timeline?

Its a power play, Blizzard will have an army of attorneys meet the Nos team and tell them not to F with them. After the legal reaming the team will meet the bosses, have a California lunch consisting of Sushi, Mexican food, and Pho. After the formalities are out of the way Mike will tell them "Look you little Shits I have the power to get you all flown here over night! Don't think I can't reach through the monitor and choke you out! Don't F with the Blizz!" Mike will than walk out of the room and tell Brack to deal with the Nos team.

Brack will bust out a WOD box set and tell the Nos team to eat it, all while chanting. Blizz is good, Blizz is great, we shall not question Blizzards might.

The Nos team will return and release that they all have had a change of heart and that we all should play WOD and Legion.

No offense, but I wouldn't want them in charge of "design". They blatantly ignored bugs (this isn't the same as just prioritizing a bug low on the list) and chose to develop features in a completely un-vanilla like manner. Were they good? Perhaps. Were they bad? Maybe.

Don't get me wrong. I very much appreciate and support both Viper and Daemon. Hell the Nost team for that matter, but if Legacy servers were going to become legit...

I'd want Blizzard to do it, not Nost. Viper/Daemon have even said it as well. I'd hope the team would be more as advisers to the project. "This is what we learned with our community, do this..." type of things. Allen Brack definitely doesn't have a clue. Blizzard has everything archived (as Mark Kern has stated). So, their "design" involvement should be minimal in terms of the actual game itself.

As for what the Nost team has developed with anti-cheat, the node system they were working on, tools & programs, etc. Yea, fuck yea that's what they should contribute to Blizzard and the project. Just not "game design". Unpopular opinion perhaps. Maybe the Nost team are incredible at game design, but it wasn't shown with Nost.

You are kind of described the best scenario we can dream of.

In reality they can be arrested the minute they land and spend next 10+ years in custody fighting ridiculous copyright laws US is pushing on the world with TPP and other similar bullshit.

I don't really want to be the mayor of "I told you" town in this case as I was in the case with the petition.

Funny thing: this can actually happen to anyone who ever contributed to MaNGOS. And considering there is DMCA and multiple other laws on top, we're more or less talking of a chance for multiple lifetimes in jail here.

I have a very good feeling that if Blizzard was planning to take action against the team personally, they would've been arrested in France a long time ago. Same shit that happened with the dude who stole Half Life 2's beta. And Valve was a much smaller company then compared to ActiBlizzard right now

What's gonna happen from this is Blizzard gets to show the Nost team just how "unpossible" making a legacy server is so Nostalrius can be the bearer of bad news to us instead, or the Nostalrius devs get hired.

But does anyone else notice how we still don't have Nost's source code available?? Hell, maybe they already got arrested

I'm quite sure North Korean Leadership play on Nostalrius. They must have had Raiding guild.

They are preparing for the worst with speeding up their Nuclear Missile Program as now, they don't have anything else to spend their time with.
