Nos cracking down on anti-blizzard threads..

Anyone else noticing any anti-blizzard threads are being quickly deleted from Nos's forum?
They aren't making anything very obvious are they now?

well it sure feels like Nost is now trying to turn everything around in favor of Blizzard.
ofcourse that is for the sake of the discussion, but don't touch the discussions here on the forums.

I do not like the way nostalrius is going.
"we are invited to blizzard HQ, you know what we won't release mangos code even if it's stripped from all anti-cheat"
Which they surely can do since it can't be a fixed part of the code.
and we will be some kind of ambassadors no one wants anyway.
Blizzard knows what people want they just don't want to listen.

I didn't notice. What annoys me is all the new people crying about not getting the code. They all have zero posting history, probably from other servers.
I'm a little depressed that i won't see my characters again but love that we are now negotiating for proper legacy servers. If this comes off it will be soooo much better.

well that is the risk of joining a private server that everyone should have known..
the risk of losing it is nearly 100% one way or the other.
if blizzard takes down the server or if the server just stops, you have the risk of losing the toon.

regarding the code, it has been improved soo much that it would do the private server community soo much good if blizzard will never release a legacy wow server.
but since Nost will not release it now, the chance that it will be released in the future is also near zero.
even if Blizzard decides with the new "ambassadors" to not release a vanilla server it will not be released i'm quite sure of that.

the why and how has been explained also in the announcement so I can understand it completely.
there are bastards out there that won't allow a partial release, so they are ready to go to court or something to get the full release.

Some voices in the emulation scene wanted to legally force us to release the complete source code if we chose to only publish a part of it. As explained above, the anticheat is not something we would reveal in any case.

all in all it feels like vanilla players are the losers in this story.

Why do you care now and not before Blizzard was watching? Why aren't you taking legal proceedings against other vanilla servers? I mean really... maybe i don't understand but your actions seem pretty lame.

I'd really... really really.. like my character back, but legit legacy servers would be a victory on another scale. Not for me personally, as I'd really just want to log back on and enjoy my character, but for the world of gamers in general. Everybody ought to get the chance to play vanilla (or some expansion) again. I am proud to have been part of the struggle to maybe make that happen soon™. Obviously, I'm not expecting legacy servers to be released anytime soon, but still.. it's amazing.

Have the Nost team actually said they are definitely *not* releasing the characters? I've not heard this.
