That guy hasn't been at Blizzard for a LONG time. He also admitted that most developers of original WoW/BC left after Activision ate the company. The design philosophy was canned, and the game was handed to new people that trainwrecked it away from the game it was originally designed to be. In order for WoW to ever be good again, it needs to roll back all the shit these people have done to it. This is why we need legacy servers. But these new casual shithead developers don't want legacy, they like WoW as it is now, and want to keep it that way. Rolling back the game is them admitting defeat and admitting that the majority of players hate what the game is now, and would rather play what it was before they ruined it. So long as they don't do it, they can live in denial and shove retail down everyone's throats. But hosting both means they'll see first hand most of the subs moving off their newer patches.
