You're a sucker if you think the TF2 model is better than Overwatch or Battleborn. Paying for a box up front is infinity better than being stuck with a trash cash shop. It not only discourages hackers who risk having their purchase wiped, but gives you a competitive experience right off the bat. There's no BS grind or pay wall before you can actually start enjoying the game. Games went F2P so they could sucker in people like yourself, which is basically a trial, because you still have to fork out money at some point, and it's always much more than what a game would have costed just selling you a box. They have to milk you to make up for other cheapskates that won't pay up.

Just sell us a damn box and get rid of the cash shop. "Microtransactions" are a cancer to video gaming.

How long do you think it will take before Blizz floods that game with in game shit to buy, its just like hearthstone, either grind and comit your 24 hours a day to it to play it for free and get all the things you want, or pay pay pay. I remember when blizz used to be pioners on the gaming market, these days its more like : meh...

TF2 wasn't free on release took a long time before it went f2p
