I think that Legacy servers should be buy2play so as to help stop bots and scammers and such entering the game. I'm happy to pay a one time purchase to play, because I do really want to play it, but no more than that; I simply won't play into the subscription wallet of Blizzard. It should be like the system of ESO: one time purchase, with an in-game "cosmetics only" store. I suppose an optional subscription with benefits, as ESO has, would be good but nothing pay2win at all.

Subscription is blizzlike. If they still support the game with game masters and such i'd gladly pay.

On the surface of it, yea, it seems silly. But, you get a lot back for it, active customer support (at the time no in-game shop) Everything was possible to get in-game.

But if you look from a purely financial point of view, I'm not that rich, I'm a student, I'm sure many of you know what that means for the finances. But if you visit the movies, or take your girl to the movies. That's two months of subscription (give or take) So that's two MONTHS of entertainment vs 2 hours. Subscriptions are good value for money. If you drink or smoke that's a lot more expensive. If you don't think a whole month of entertainment is worth the 13 dollars a month, I just don't know what's wrong.

it's damn near impossible to get a gm ingame on retail atm. they point in every direction but gm support. i don't think you can call them anymore either.

Sub ensures continued support. A cash shop is the alternative but it isn't reliable, usually has P2W shit in it, and with Classic WoW, everyone will be against it. I think the majority of players would rather just pay a monthly sub than have this vampire attached to the side of the game. I personally hate cash shops. I'd rather have everything be obtainable from WITHIN the game. Remember those days? Good times, right? If they want more money, just charge for the product itself. "But I don't have time to farm gold. I work 40 hours/week IRL. Can't I just buy the gold?" NO. That kind of crying is what ruined the entire game. Blizzard's stance should have always been, "If you don't have time to play a video game, then just don't play the video game. Or play a different one. Super Mario isn't expensive."

As a grown adult with a job I don't have any issues paying $15 a month. Oh, and fuck in-game shops.

Lifetime entertainment for 39 dollars sure beats 13 dollars each month.
